Cold Rain
It was cold up until two or three days ago and then it started the torch. Although today it is back to cross-country cold. Thanks man. I'm thinking sustained cold is just off the table for this winter. I suppose technically, it could turn around. I suppose it's technically possible for me to win the lottery too. tnweathernut
Does anyone remember a time when the NAVGEM was ever right? Just curious, since it's been pretty consistent in showing a robust solution.

Still 4-5 days for this to trend into a Mid-Atlantic HECS and leave us with all-rain.

calculus1
yeah, same here. Terrible, terrible, odds in the lottery. One could argue that the following image is equivalent to purchasing a lottery ticket. Or, you could argue that it's better than purchasing a lottery ticket because it provides warmth, if you were cold. (It's also illegal.)
mackerel_sky
I thought all el ninos were back loaded? Plus , until the snowcover gets solidly in place, south of Chicago, we can forget about wintry precip!
jshetley
This all goes back to the Nov 1 snow. I pretty much knew then this winter would be bad. 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 are good examples of this.

superjames1992
Navy!!!!! Now we've got NAVY, EURO, and CMC onboard. The JMA probably will be, too, as it's shown a coastal for days. This could be really good for your area if the trends keep up. Maybe even here, though I'm a bit afraid of getting too much "win" and ending with a lot of cold rain.
