I like weather.rap.ucar.edu for NAM, RUC, and GFS model output.

However, I assume since the upgrade, their GFS images aren't working.  Does anyone know if they will modify it with the upgrade or what?

That site has been around for a long time.  I can almost 100% be sure they will have it going again.

In fact, I just checked and it's working with today's 12z run.  Not sure if they do/did the 18/6 before.

Here you go sir:

Winter, winter I remember

What thou promised in November

Snow advanced to great delight

Of watchful weenies day and night

And shades of blue shown all around

On every map that could be found

With visions white from front to end

An epic season did portend

But all the hope November brought

Then vanished when December wrought

Its wrath of warmth upon the land

The weenie cliff was close at hand

The SAI had been a bust

And analogs had lost our trust

Climo too had let us down

And Modoki could not be found

When at the point of most despair

And after looking here and there

At last some hope before us lay

A pattern change ten days away

So wait we did and waited more

To rid this pattern heretofore

And in its place with righteous might

An arctic blast was taking flight

So wait we did and waited more

As ten days turned to twenty four

Christmas came and Christmas went

A warm Yuletide you did present

So wait we did and waited more

As you mocked with snowy lore

Of winters cold so long ago

With perfect west-based NAO

And now we have more days behind

Than in lay front for us to find

Someway somehow to watch the fall

Of heavy snow to thrill us all

But winter winter you remember

How you tried to drown the ember

Of our joy, our love for cold

And snowy fun for young and old

You can try but won’t succeed

To ever make us all concede

We know our snow is on the way

In only ten short days away

You out did yourself on that one.! That may be my favorite of yours, excellent job!!

To temper some expectations from the 18z, here's the WxBell clown... (I can't believe I'm saying the WxBell clown isn't as much snow, but it isn't)

Well what ever happens, (or doesn't happen) looks like NE NC is the place to be.

Can't help but notice the western upstate screw job, AGAIN, on EVERY ONE of these maps, EVERY STINKIN' TIME, FOREVER and EVER, till the END of TIME, NO MATTER WHAT, can't buy A MEASLEY FLAKE, SNOW refuses to enter PICKENS and OCONEE, wouldn't snow if it was 50 BELOW ZERO, with a 900 MILLIBAR LOW directly overhead with PRECIP RATES of 10 inches per hour ZONE!!!

I HATE LIVING IN WESTERN UPSTATE!!! :axe:  :baby:   :weep:  :fever::gun_bandana::sun::devilsmiley::angry::cliff:

Ok, now I feel a little better.... take a deep breath.... whew... I can make it...

Amen. I don't know how people live in areas where it's cloudy all the time. So depressing.

Yea it would be tough, when I visited England last August it was unseasonably cool and squally with not a lot of sun and highs in the 50s most days..Even England usually gets a good amount of sunshine in August(compared to the rest of the year)... seems like everywhere I go lately is socked in with clouds.

When I was there in January 2011, every day featured cloudy with drizzle and/or snow flurries. Completely miserable weather with temperatures in the 30s/low 40s the entire time. The only time I saw the sun was on the morning of my second day there (I was there for over a week). It was still fun, though!

I think London would be a miserable place to live weather-wise. It is generally cold and wet during the winter, but hardly ever snows.

Don't worry, we had a map like that right over us last year in Feb and we all know how that turned out!

Yea its a tough place to live unless you love cold and damp! Sure is beautiful and green though! on another random weather note.. I experienced 40 degree temperatures 10 out of 12 months this year.. In July it dropped to 40 around the 4th of July while I was camping, in August I experienced It in England.. only months I didn't experience 40 were June and September!
