How is it stealing information when it is a map on a public board? I was just sharing the maps. I wasn't stealing anything. Is there a board rule about posting those types of maps? I just thought others might find it interesting to see and discuss.

Sigh. Why did you double post it?  There is a rule about that.

This is why I was asking if there was a specific rule about posting those maps. So, you can't post maps from weatherbell unless you have an account? That is why I asked if it was against a board rule. That is all you had to say. If that is the case, then all you had to do was say that. If so, then I am sorry I posted it. I wasn't trying to steal anything, just share info. But if there is a specific rule about posting maps from weatherbell without an account, then I am sorry. I did not realize that. I was just trying to share info. There is a better way of going about this than saying rude things like I was doing it to try to look smarter.

the map i saw CLEARLY had wxbell in the lower right corner indeed giving them credit as the source......the "rules" here really need to be posted in writing for all to see.

Brick does this all time. He steals other people's post and makes a generic post. Whether intentional or not it's just plain common sense. If DT says something I don't just rearrange what he said and come post it on here. I say something like, "DT just said". Why does Brick get a pass but the met who shall not be named in ATL gets shat all over for doing the same thing?

Quit your incessant whining & leave Brick alone. Singling out individuals is very unprofessional...

Seriously dude? Do you know about the history of this? Whining?  From treating everyone like intellectual nincompoops to doing this crap you are quickly becoming one of the worst posters here.

You have been here long enough to know the rules and you enjoy pushing the limits. The next time, you are gone. Period.

OK Son.  This doesn't involve you.  It will be to your advantage to keep it that way, because you really don't come across very well when you argue.

Ok, then why are going to continue to blow up this forum with pointless attacks on Brick? Get over it and move on...

Brick -- What I think the mods are trying to get through is that they don't believe you loaded up weatherbell.com, went to 2mTemps at 240, formulated the though that the cold will return, and posted that here on your own. They believe you got it somewhere. Now, for instance when I get something from somewhere (more than likely twitter), I'll post the twitter account name and text to go along with the image, obviously showing it's not my original thought. Now, despite 2 meter temps not being a huge thought to formulate, it's best to just say in your post where you got the image from. "So and so from X said the cold will return! [image]" It's just board etiquette, or life etiquette in general.

I wasn't stealing a post. I was sharing a map that showed temps from the GFS for later next week. I thought people might find it interesting. I didn't steal anyone's words.  I simply shared the map to try to share info with everyone here. I just thought people would like to see it. What is wrong about that? Like I said, if there is a rule against posting maps here from weatherbell without an account, then I am sorry. But that is all that had to be said to me. I wasn't trying to steal anything and I didn;t steal anyone's words. You can look at the numbers on the map and tell it is cold.

I was not trying to push anything. I did not know that was against the rule to post a weatherbell map without having an account for it. I am sorry if that is a rule and I did not realize that. That is all you had to say to me .

That's cool. I didn't do all that I just got the map from the other board. I thought the wxbell logo on it would be ok. And I can look at the map myself and tell it is going to be cold with the temps on it, so I was just commenting on the map. But if I have to have an actual account with weatherbell to post the map, then that is fine, too. I just didn't realize that and won't do it again if that is the case. I really was just trying to share info with everyone.

One problem with your statement.  You don't draw the line. Take my earlier advice before you get in deeper.

   :baby:

You're right, I don't draw the line, the government & law enforcement do it for me. Cyberbulling is unlawful in the state of North Carolina ..

North Carolina

Ch. SL 2009-551- Adds a Cyberbullying penalty making it unlawful for any person with a computer to build a fake profile or website, pose as a minor in or follow a minor into a chat room, internet chat, etc, post sexual information pertaining to a minorintimidate a minor or their guardian, or post any statement, whether true or false, with the intent to provoke a third party to harass a minor.

N.C. Gen Stat. § 14-196.3- Addresses cyberstalking by making it unlawful to use electronic mail or communication to inflict harm onto a person, electronically mail or communicate repeatedly for purposes of harassing or to make a false statement about another with intent to harass, knowingly allow this sort of electronic harassment happen.
