Cold Rain
Not sure what was so weenie about that post since it is just my opinion on how things work on the board. I thought the problem for whatever reason was having too many threads. So now we are going to have a medium range thread talking about a specific threat and then make another thread if it gets inside 3 days. Just seems to defeat the purpose to me. If the only thing people are talking about is a specific threat then just have a thread for it. What does it hurt? And in the case with this coming week when there are a couple of threats just have one thread for the week. That to me would make things cleaner. Cold Rain
With all the precip we're going to get over the next five days or so, we'll probably have to punt the rest of January. My prognostications from talking with the birds are that the skies won't be fully healed until mid-February, so Fab Feb might be delayed. Lol these birds are just crazy! I'm tired of everyone(including you) complaining about the way things are run here. If you don't like it, then by all means don't post here any more. It really is that simple. We can't make everyone happy and I'm not trying to. We are trying this for the next couple of weeks. Deal with it.
tnweathernut
What the heck are you guys doing with regards to threads? lol
calculus1
It seems pretty straightforward to me. If you're more into long range, your info will be concisely presented in the pattern thread. If you are interested in a possible upcoming event and model play by play, it will be in that thread. When an event is imminent, a separate event thread will be stated. In any case, we are going to give it a try. After 2 weeks or so we can either fine tune it or go back to the way it was. Nothing will be lost. I like it, burns! Well-reasoned and well-stated. Much easier to follow things now. Thanks for helping us evolve into a new era in the SE forum. Now, if we can just get a threat for something other than ZR inside of 3 days... Thanks for helping us evolve into a new era in the SE forum. Now, if we can just get a threat for something other than ZR inside of 3 days... In my view, it addresses the most prominent complaint we've had. That the model discussion thread was a mishmash of play-by-play and posts about various, usually fantasy, events and contained little real model discussion. I think this will take care of that. Now I will readily admit, that I also like it because it takes care of my pet peeve as well. That is to say, posting individual event threads way too early. However when that happens, all of the discussion in the event thread is about each run of the model. By putting it in a medium range play-by-play thread that discussion can continue exactly as before. I don't get the argument that it will be more confusing. Once you get used to it, you should be able to go directly to the type of info you are looking for. Now, if it is just having two threads instead of one that has you confused, you probably should stay in banter anyway. The atmosphere of this planet is even more confusing than adding a thread.
