franklin NCwx
If this winter sucks all the way through March, then we get a big 1993 like storm on March 5th, would you guys classify this as a great winter because of one storm? Or no matter what kind of storm we see in March, it was a horrific winter?man, the winter would not be great but I would take that storm again in a heartbeat! I still living in cashiers then and we had about 3 feet, with incredible drifting! Sign me up metal.

Draw one that is favorable for me getting 12 inches of snow, then make another that is favorable for Cuba getting Ocean effect snow.

jburns
Nasty weather related wreck on I-94 in MI. Over 90 vehicles involved including a semi loaded with fireworks. Also, hazmat officials asking evacuation w/in 3 MILE radius of MM90 on I94 due to formic acid. I remember formic acid from the 50s SyFy movie, THEM! Lookout
Winter so far in the SE lol..I would say that image fits the winter forecasts more than this winter because I've seen worse winters than this one. We have had at least some respectable cold and flakes fell here twice which is more than i can say for a lot of winters. I think everyone thinks it's worse because of all the forecasts for cold and snow. The near unanimous opinion that this winter would be cold and snowy caused many to raise the bar pretty high...probably unrealistically so. timnc910
I don't think anyone saw that freezing rain coming this morning in my neck of the woodsthe roads were a sheet of ice this morning. I spun out on the middle of the highway and saw three cars off the road.. and boy the police scanner was lit up with wrecks...definitely caught everyone off guard..I think next time d.o.t will pay more attention to these minor events.it was bad enough they had to send salt trucks and sand out this morning . franklin NCwx
Euro looks good for NC next week this run. If this keeps up we might have to make a thread this weekend.not so fast! It's the only model showing it. Besides to feel better at this range we would need the euro to be showing a cutter.

Brick Tamland
As long as it's on the Euro, it's game on! Hail to king It seems we only believe the models now if they show something bad. We need something to happen, even just a little something.
NGA WINTER
Well it's good to have the King close for us. It's seems like most of this winter has been the GFS showing something wintry and the euro shooting us down. I'm sure it'll be the other way around for this system but it's nice to be close with the King. Couple of euro runs in row show us being close. We just need one system to put us all in a better mood.
