Brick Tamland
Okay, so the Euro is showing possible freezing rain for NC 1/13 to 1/15. That's 5 days away. Seriously, do we start a thread for that since it is 5 days out and to keep it out of the pattern thread, especially since nothing has happened this winter so far? tnweathernut
Nothing worse than having a winter where the gulf or southeast coast sees snow before we do. Luckily I had my first flakes way back on november 1st (which actually was coming down pretty good for a while) and a few again yesterday. So, at least this time, I don't have that painful vomit inducing kick in the groin feeling that the winter gods love to inflict on me and the rest of us poor southeast folks all the time. I'm sure though they have a sadistic plan in the works to really torture us before this winter is over. You have to love irony though that just one day removed from it being october brought more snow here than all the days combined since...and quite possibly the most of the entire season at this rate, despite all the optimistic and bullish winter forecasts. I know the sample size is small, but it really does make you wonder about having a BIG early season snow in the east and what that means for the rest of the winter. I can't imagine any way that has anything to do with the rest of the winter. It might, but I don't see how.

I am with you, but I can't remember a big winter that also had a large early season (Oct or early Nov) snow on the eastern seaboard.

I know it. I only remember, let's say, 3 or 4 of those big early snowfalls. But I remember a LOT of crappy winters. I think it's just a coinkydink. southernskimmer
there were so many people at the ER because of the flu it took me 4 hours to just get seen. It isn't my appendix and not life threatening. Just can't figure out what it is. Yeterday I could barely walk and had to work from my laptop at home. Today is better. Went to the office for a few hours. We will see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully it hurts less and less. Thanks for asking!
