tazaroo
I think I'm ready for the cliff. This year is just a disaster. Everytime your about ready to jump, the models call for a good chance of frozen 7 to 10 days away only to change 500 miles every other run. Brick Tamland
Pretty cool. WRAL Weather added 2 new photos. Just now · In addition to a few reports of some sleet mixing in with the rain showers, we've gotten a few reports of some interesting cloud formations. These are mammatus clouds (specifically stratocumulus mammatus). They're unusual clouds generally, and when we do see them, they're often — but not today — seen under the anvil of a thunderstorm, indicative of a very strong storm. Shawn
I'm going with the 10-19th of Feb. That gives a good climo range of 10 days in the heart of our best chances around here and for everyone to see a big hit.

metalicwx366
Good Mods are like good referees or umpires in a ball game. They are doing the best job and things are running the best when nobody knows they are there. We have had repeated arguments this season. The biggest reason for this is a lack of storms to track. The other reason is that the mods are attacking and gang tackling as much as anyone else! Last week, they turned on Webber! one of the sharpest tools in the SE shed! Brick is a constant whipping boy. Folks are constantly referencing history as an excuse for that. If history serves me, we were at one time hyping and promoting Brick as a weenie of the year candidate. Now, we are going to attack him about the past, that was largely hyped and promoted on this forum. As others have stated, Bricks posts this year have been much more pointed to weather discussions. Today I get on here and Dacula and Rawlee are under the gun. This is ridiculous. Look, folks can flame me, attack me, ban me. I don't care. I am just stating my opinions based on my observations and past history of following this forum over the years. The actions of the mods this year have done more to promote and incite turmoil than to calm and settle it.JBurns and Buckeye are really good mods. I don't see anything they are doing wrong. Just because you disagree with wtf they are doing, or Dacula or whoever doesn't mean they are wrong. If Brick posts were pointed more towards discussion, he wouldn't be surprised every time a winter pellet falls out the sky, or trying to create threads every time the GFS almost has all the players off the field. metalicwx366
November was cold. December was a torch. January is only slightly below average. The only reason January is slightly below average is because of the Arctic attack around the 9th and 8th. I'm -3 for November. +5 for December. +3 for January. So its been a warm winter in my book.
