I remember how it got up to 123 in Omaha five days before the great Southeastern Blizzard of February 1734.

Yeah, I just turned 19, went to a raging kegger.

Yeah, I think it's a great analog to show that we can get blizzards with this setup.

I'd also like to point you to the February 1532 Snowicane, which had sustained winds of up to 90 MPH with gusts over 110 MPH with a well-defined eye as it crawled up the Eastern Seaboard, destroying forests and dropping feet of snow in its western wake.  The midwest was mired in a torch over the preceding days.  Calgary and Edmonton got into the 80s!  Or at least that's the way the Native American folklore went... :yikes:

He is not a very good meteorologist if you ask me. He seems like he is but he's not. He disguises the fact that he's not with all the proper terminology. But he's really not that good.

DT is like a big weather weenie that stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I need to get Roberts thoughts from Brick? Is he still all out? Last I heard from Brick, as of yesterday, he said all rain for the 2nd and no chance of wintry?

Nicely done!

Well, all except for the fact that the city of Omaha did not even exist then.  The Omaha tribe of Native Americans did, but I doubt they had an incorporated city in the same locale as today's version.  :P

I'm hoping the latest models are wrong. Cold and dry is awful. I'm ready for spring.

Where have I heard that before?

Several hits in the day 8-12 range, this is the best one.

Are you sure you didn't just photoshop that image, Pack?  In order to troll the less stable members of our most esteemed forum?  :D

That p019 map is just plain pathetic.

You know you want to believe, Shawn.  Have Faith In The Flakes.

When was the last time more than 2/3 of NC got 8+ inches of snow?

I swear these clown maps are trolling us on purpose

March 1980 was close.

I don't man he pretty much nailed last winter after December....this winter he also pretty much nailed it after the poor December we had. He has his moments but he is just such a jerk it turns so many people off and magnifies his misses.

They have public transportation in Bessemer? :)

There was a guy in Bessemer who had MS or some other affliction that caused him to shake uncontrollably. His name around town was "Shaky", they called him this to his face and he introduced himself as shaky. He would give people rides all the time and would brag about. That is Bessemer City's public transit.
