SnowNiner
Hopefully GEFS holds firm. Dont' like that it's trying to hold the energy back though like the EURO. Although I'd rather have cold and dry than another COLD, cold rain.
ILMRoss
If we pull in this storm then that means most places around here will probably have an elusive "day after the Super Bowl day off". This is what dreams are made of.
Brick Tamland
Yep, I'd just be perfectly fine even if half of the runs showed anything. Synoptics, Equatorial VP, relative model consistency, etc. are about as good as it gets when we're about 10 days out or so... I hope it produces. Just a little worried that now everything seems to be going towards the Euro look.

Webberweather53
Even though the latest operational GFS is suppressed, I was definitely reminded of December 1958... 23" of snow in Pope AFB just outside Fayetteville, 2nd to only the "Big one" in early March 1927
mackerel_sky
The energy hasn't even been sampled yet! Did we honestly think we were going to get crushed with weenie runs for the next 9 days?? Come on people, soon it will be: you get snow, you get snow, you get snow, everybody gets SNOW! packbacker
The GEFS defintely ticked south with the Sun/Mon clipper, several members get snow down to VA/NC border. So Rocky Mount to Person Co could see flakes.

nchighcountrywx
Is everyone else getting slow and non reachable response to WeatherTap today? I first noticed it yesterday afternoon where it was non-responsive of slow at best. The same issue exists today and I have tried through 3 routing methods and multiple work stations or devices and all receive the same poor or non-existent response. packfan98
Some of y'all are funny. There is no reason to meltdown. Every scenario for this potential storm is still on the table. Ensembles still have the best look we have seen all winter. When it's time to have a meltdown as you jump off the cliff, I will be right there with you throwing in the towel. We are nowhere near that time yet.

Brick Tamland
If this storm doesn't produce any snow here, I wish we could just go to spring and be warm and dry. So tired of 40s and rain or really cold and dry.
