The other one is early next week. Too early for a thread about that.

To early for either one with the weak support.   The play by play thread is fine for now.  If you make a new thread at this point, model PBP is all that will be discussed anyway.

lolz, wait, are y'all really arguing over who should start a thread on a weather message board on the interwebz for a "storm" that has next to zero model support for widespread wintry precip?

Seriously, nothing shows a single flake (except the GEM) anywhere south of the VA/NC border counties.

Give it another 24.

They all have to show snow without any doubt for a storm thread.

Not true

You know.  You are absolutely correct here.  I would be 100% in favor of someone starting a snow thread for the mountains.  Oh, wait.......

We are not starting a thread for the rainstorm. If any thread should be started, it would be for that clipper next week that has some potential. Might be the most legit threat all year for wintry precipitation. TWC has already started talking about it showing accumulating snow for NC on the GFS/EURO.

If we don't get snow this weekend, we will next week. At least I think for central NC.

That wad the fault of the pessimistic people like you. I still got a two hour delay out of it for work. And there were problems on the roads. So, at least it was something.

You really don't have this science thing figured out at all do you.

LOL at Cold Rain's Christmas Storm Thread from back in 2010.  Eight days out and massive pessimism.  Analyzing the GFS post-truncation in post #1. :yikes::)

WxInCanton started the thread for the Southeast's last major winter storm, so maybe he has the mojo when/if the time comes?
