Is it really that big of a deal? I don't know why you think people have to understand what the models show to be able to discuss things and just make comments and pass things along. Some people enjoy following the weather and are interested in things like the storms and snow. Also, there were not extremely high expectations for 2011-12 if I remember correctly. And yeah, this year will sting if we come up empty, but it will sting mostly because of the high expectations. I think the fact that we had a good winter last year MAYBE will ease some of the disappointment if we don't get anything. Things would be much worse if last winter had been horrible and we were coming off of 3 straight bad winters and then to have this year come up empty after high expectations.
