So that is why everyone has said I have been better this year? You don't even try to add anything at all here but to post snide remarks about me. All I did was pass along info that had not been posted yet. I thought people would like to know about the NAM and then discuss it. I was just reporting what I read so others would know. Not sure how that is dumbing down anything.

I come here to read about the weather and learn. I don't ADD anything to the weatherside because I mostly don't have anything to add. .  Also to participate in OT conversations with folks around the world.

I think you count the seconds after the thunder untill you see a wooley worm and thats how many inches of snow you get.

Lightning is the flash in the sky. Thunder is the sound lightning makes from dem explodin atoms in da sky. You hear thunder after the lightning because light travels faster than sound.

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream. I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been.

I read your post wrong lol. This is what I really thought you said from first glance.

"I think you count the seconds after the first thunder until you hear lightning and thats how many inches of snow you get."

I was passing along something I read at another board that had not been posted yet. I was passing this on thinking maybe others would like to know and discuss it since that is what people do on forums. All you do is come on the banter thread all the time and troll to post mean-spirited stuff.

The point is, unless you can read and understand what the model maps are saying, there is no point in you posting a he said/she said

So your little bit of improvement is "good enough"......ummmmm.....nope. That just goes to show you, how bad your posts are in a pinned thread. Save the copy/paste job for another board and read more and post less in the discussion thread if this is the best you are gonna do  ;)

I've had both several times today! What a perfect fall day

Not sure what is so bad about just passing along info that had not been posted yet here so others know and can discuss it. Is it really that big of a deal? I don't know why you think people have to understand what the models show to be able to discuss things and just make comments and pass things along. Some people enjoy following the weather and are interested in things like the storms and snow. Some people are just casual observers and enjoy the weather without getting into all the scientific stuff of reading models and stuff.

Just under six months from now we could be tracking something like this beauty:

Unfortunately, I feel like we are due for a hot summer. It seems like the last couple of summers were not that hot.

Yeah I kinda combined a bunch of old wives tales in that but thanks for playing along.

Is that the one where we would have set the all time record high, but the line of convection that moved into the state from the north the night before gave us a cooler start to the morning than originally forecast?

You have been given some great advice, use it   ;)

What exactly is that supposed to mean? No one posted about the NAM yet. All I said was I read the NAM was wetter and colder because I thought others would like to know and discuss it. I thought the whole point of having a forum was to pass along info for others to discuss further. I was just reporting what I read so others can do that. Why is that so bad? Unless there is some rule about doing that then I am not sure what I did wrong.

Are you speaking of the 2011-12 winter ? This winter does remind me a lot of that winter and that winter was the all time worst winter in my lifetime.

A lot of us were so fat and happy after the previous two winters that 11&12 didn't hurt too bad. Last winter was memorable but this year will sting if we don't manage anything more than flurries.

Well, that is true. Also, there were not extremely high expectations for 2011-12 if I remember correctly. And yeah, this year will sting if we come up empty, but it will sting mostly because of the high expectations. I think the fact that we had a good winter last year MAYBE will ease some of the disappointment if we don't get anything. Things would be much worse if last winter had been horrible and we were coming off of 3 straight bad winters and then to have this year come up empty after high expectations. Things would get really ugly in here.

So you know what you posted is a fact? You read the map? You looked at bufkit? It's true? Who is the source? In what context?

You know what you are doing, and you have been told to stop. Take that advice or leave it.....the choice is yours  ;)
