EastCoast NPZ
I'd have the rope around the neck and chair tilted back. I don't get some of the hate in the thread, I hope no one busts negative. I wouldn't wish that sh*t on my worst enemy. Being upset that you're not getting snow is perfectly reasonable, but being upset that someone else is getting snow doesn't make much sense to me. AlaskaETC
Let's discuss PG's odds of not having to leave for a month. Lol, I like my odds at the moment. Way too early though.
EastCoast NPZ
This ban bet is more interesting to me than whatever anyone else up north gets. I must've missed that. What were the terms?

snowfan
Boston is much prettier in the snow than NYC, so I'm glad the blizzard isn't going to waste. Acorn St. with 2-3 ft is probably a blast to navigate!

snowfan
The gradient the 0Z NAM is showing is nasty. 10-12" in NYC (From the start of this run) and double that in central LI.

nj2va
My dad just texted me to say his forecast went from 24-30" to 8-12". Probably underdone but it aligns with the GFS.
Fozz
I feel better about this being a NYC bust, but I also feel bad for some of my friends in NNJ and the NY area. Also the more serious and sensible side of me feels bad about the bust because of its possible consequences for the meteorology field's PR and credibility. Maybe the biggest bust since March 2001? Imagine if on the night of Feb 5, 2010, we found out the evening it started that the storm would be much weaker and more spotty then previously expected and we'd get 6-10. Yeah. nj2va
I think TWC was one of the few not to hype 3 foot amounts in NYC, as surprising as that is.
psuhoffman
Yes took a flight out of BWI last night.Smarter then me, I drove into the ct blizzard a few years ago and got stuck on the highway. Had to spend 3 hours digging the car down the off ramp to the hotel. Had a blast though, and after my gf at the time put up with all of it and even helped dig, I knew I had to marry her. Storm chases rock. Hopefully when my son is old enough I'll get back into it. Have fun.

Good point but these late bombing miller b storms are always tricky and have lead to some major busts over the years. 90% of the time those busts are from the storm taking a little too long to get its act together and in these setups every little delay is a potential bust for the sw side. This was never as safe a situation as a miller a gulf low blasting into a high blocked in. While they have every right to be very disapointed I wouldn't be as shocked that this fell apart then if a gulf miller a did.
