I know, right? The contrast couldn't be greater and that multiplies the pain by an order of magnitude. That said, I'm always optimistic, so the GFS just gets to be my best friend until it stabs me in the back.

I wish I could just skip forward to severe season so I won't keep getting disappointed. I was only hoping for a 1-3 too. Oh wait, we don't do severe season here either.

Usually I'm joking, but tonight I'm just giving in and losing it. If we somehow get royally screwed I don't think I'll be able to look at the winter the same way moving forward.

I can't wait to reread these posts tomorrow.

I gave in and went into their storm thread. I wish I was around at the Eastern forums during 09-10. I bet that is how the NE people feel right now.

My new Favorite Post is "hmmm..."  Now it is very important to understand the correct usage of "hmmm..." in order to get maximum effect.  "hmmm..." is typically used after some observation that "hints" toward some sort of surprise favorable  outcome but when viewed in retrospect it is almost invariably rooted in a delusional thinking or misdirected rationalization.

Like for instance... "According to the GFS it was supposed to start snowing at 6.. its 4 and I am already starting to see sleet fall..  hmmm... "
