Has anyone been to the any of Cuban/Spanish restaurants in the area?

I've been craving Arroz con Pollo for weeks. And am willing to drive an hour for the real deal. Or pay someone's Grandmother to make me some, Lol.

Yes, I've tried making it myself, but it isn't the same. :(

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I've tried their chicken and its really good:

Thanks Scuddz, MdHokie, Snowfan,

The Peruvian place sounds good (and is closer than the Cuban joint in Burtonsville.)

So now I'm trying to find out what the difference is with Peruvian Arroz con Pollo, since I don't recall ever eating Peruvian food.

I know Mexican has more hot spices, whereas Cuban has much more garlic + saffron & annatto.

Is Peruvian spicy?

Back to researching *adding R&R Taqueria to the list.   Thanks guys!  :)

a little odd about drawing bright lines in the regional forums and discouraging posting in other areas, even during events

sort of like expecting leesburg not to take a dump while he's in queens, so as not to ruin the pristine water system up there.  not sure how long he is there, so that could be hard to do.

totally understand if it's a forum norm and basic ettiquette to be sensitive and and not rub salt into fresh wounds when there is an impending bust or lower than expected snowfall...

I thought you guys would appreciate this story on nbcnews.com right now - on the home page - on why weather forecasts go wrong:

My problem with the argument is that media could do a better job just presenting the facts of each model and the spread between them - instead of broadcasting the ultimate conclusion.  However, as members of this board we know the model variations, and the public wants the bottom line.  If the truth is that we do not know which model is right, say so.  Explain the 50 mile shift possibility and diameter of the storm concept, i.e., variations on how tightly it is wrapped up can be unpredictable.  This was not the first Nor'Easter we know about these variations and possibilities.  Explain it to the public better than "it will be 2-3 feet - the worst of all time".
