PhineasC
oh ye of little faith Wait until Matt sees us making a thread based on the 18Z NAM at 66HR.
SnowGoose69
12/13/89 has been showing up near the top of the CIPS analogs for days...my guess is this event won't happen but the NAM is being unusually stubborn and even shows more amplification near 60-66 hours which is inside of its really awful range. This is the month of fail but I kinda like these kinds of systems... They can perform.
CAPE
I gotta ride this. I said weeks ago I liked this period for the first snow event. Although "event" may be overstating it. First substantial car topper.

winterymix
NAM is a sweet dream. Bumper to bumper rush hour traffic on Beltways, tunnels, I-95 the eve before New Year's Eve. DC of course will go heat island sauna but N Central MD will cash if NAM scores a coup d'état.

winterymix
No other models have this. The NAM won't be right. The 18z GFS has very light snow from 66 hours to about 69-72 hrs.Perhaps coating to an inch. Pathetic winter but this could be baby steps, good stuff coming Mid-January, maybe. T. August
No other models have this. The NAM won't be right. Both the old GFS and the GPS sort of have it. The Para was leading the way, but then dropped it at 18z yesterday. EURO ens. has it too. Mean snow is around .1-.5". Canadian was right there with the Para the last few days, but then lost it. The 00z run showed a decent hit though. There's enough support where it's something to keep an eye on. It's all we have for now
