Powerball
IND torched up to 52˚ today. LAF intra-houred a 40˚. Winter is definitely not here. Sure it's winter. Just your normal January thaw...
DAFF
0Z GFS continues the wrap around snow tomorrow after the cold front pushes through. Perhaps its the start of the snow pack of the 2015 winter season. Given the temps behind this system arctic tundra comes to mind.
weatherbo
light snow started in the past hour and winds have increased, as I can see snow blowing off the roof from the flood light on.. temp down to 23. high Monday of -2. should keep snow in the forecast to an extent all week. DAFF
Bo with the accumulations you receive in a winter I would be looking out for one of these from the Richie brothers auction in the spring. During the off season you would be amazed of what you can do with them. A nice skid steer set you back 5-7 thousand but these machines will never loose much more value. I have my Grandpa's 1969 Bolins tractor that has a 42" 2 stage blower on it and I just bought this season, a 36" walk behind Troy Bilt so I can keep a path cleared around the house/sidewalks etc... I throws snow about 40' too. I'm amazed at what I see for snow removal equipment up here. The hwy plows look like something out of The Terminator. congrats and nice pics Smoof! Geos
Nice pictures guys! Finally more of the sub forum looks like winter now. Right at 2.0" here with -SN falling now. Grass is completely covered for the first time this winter.
A-L-E-K
up to a decent quality light snow now as flake size is greatly improved as colder air filters in from the NW. Maybe a tiny bit of added convergence helping lakeside but nothing wild.

cyclone77
Just starting to push into mby. Neighbors must be restless as I heard a snowblower running this morning I think we were all restless too, as it seemed like most of us in this neighborhood were out shoveling around 8am lol. As I was shoveling a lot of the snow started blowing off the trees as the winds started to kick up. Glad I took the pics when I did, as almost all the snow is off the trees now. Gilbertfly
kinda surprised how much snow is blowing off the roofs as winds pick up...thought the snow would be a little crustier... snow picking up again here as well...
