It looks like northern Ohio and northern Indiana, as well as, possibly the Detroit area, and Pennsylvania, may see 1-3" from the Tuesday-Wednesday clipper. (Note: now the TropicalTidbits web site does not have extreme snow-liquid ratios anymore. Levi Cowan has recently set all snow-liquid ratios to 10:1.)

Two waves of snow appear likely. One Tuesday one Wednesday.

Pretty much bare areas now.  Snow is gone from my front yard, and the grassy areas around the high school across the street. The parking lot for the car repair place across the commuter lot is a puddly, muddy mess, which makes everything look worse.

Today is the 30th anniversary of Chicago's all-time record cold temp (-27).

Interestingly, it is now the 31st anniversary of Toledo's all time record cold temp (-20). Jan. 20 1985, was mentioned as the record-setting date for Chicago. At Toledo, Jan. 20, 1985 was within a couple degrees of the record of Jan. 21, 1984. (-20)

If they had Twitter in 1985, then that map that was posted definitely would have brought about the hashtag #Polarvortex.
