alex
Merry Christmas everyone! Survived the thaw with solid snow cover in the valleys and mountains. Time for those t-shirts that say "I survived the Ginch storm in 2014". Untitled.jpg Very similar here. Temp spiked from 36 to 45 in the last hour but it's now very windy and clearing. Snowpack looks glacial, but ski resorts should be quite alright as soon as they can do some resurfacing. Merry Christmas everyone!

weathafella
Dark and wet and mild. What a month. I hope everyone takes time to be really thankful for all the good we have living in America and geographically located in a region where snow falls. Pattern change within a week now. It's coming! Happy Holidays to all!
mahk_webstah
Perhaps the sun coming out today is our Xmas miracle. Going for a long walk across now brown fields and into still snowy woods. Gonna soak up the sun with visions of snowfields in my head

HIPPYVALLEY
Full sun now, temp up to 50F but that may do it. Nice day. Kind of a bust when as late as yesterday afternoon forecasts were calling for rainy morning and cloudy day out here.

Rainman
Happy Holidays to all, I am new here, just trying to learn as much from you "pros", just a question? How often do the computers models update? every 4 hours/8 hours? and is this the same for "all" models? 50f, 8 mph, Nashua, nh Global models like the ECMWF, UKMET, and Global GEM update every 12 hours. The American GFS is the only global model that I'm aware of that updates every 6 hours. The NAM also updates every 6 hours. The RAP updates every hour, but only forecasts out several hours.
