TauntonBlizzard2013
Nam is nice for TBlizz up through here , but these things are fickle. All in all many areas will have snow. Light weenie flakes have started here. How much did the Nam show? I'm out splitting wood, can't look for myself. Some fine fine flakes falling now. Chance we see more than 1"? CoastalWx
GFS likes western CT actually. Still gives most areas widespread snow, but judging by 950 conv or so, the GFS is better there.

CoastalWx
I totally read ECT screwgie There are a few things going on. I wouldn't read into which model is low or high for your specific region. Somewhere in central and western CT may have a second max thanks to inv trough and s/w interaction. Then maybe another in SE MA. Best guess.

ORH_wxman
About .25 I think? RGEM is decent there and near the CT river on west too. So you see, the nuances continue. RGEM had a nice weenie jackpot on the south shore to near BOS...almost all the hi res stuff has this (exact town of jackpot might not be the same...but general area is) so I'm thinking it's probably real. The setup is very good there just west of the CF convergence boundary:
weathafella
Any snow is good snow. I'm going to enjoy this somewhat snowy cold day later on. I got up to pee around 7 and the sun was out. When I got out of bed for good it was to dark overcast.

Scott has a point, western CT can get a secondary max. I'm looking forward to this little event. Yay, snows!

The setup is very good there just west of the CF convergence boundary: Yeah it's on pretty much everything(Like I said, when I'm not home, BOS jackpot ). Other interesting area to watch I think is the CT river valley/I91 corridor, decent cluster of guidance now keying in on a secondary max in that area. GGEM called that a couple of days ago and has been pretty consistent with having it there, and now it looks like the GFS is joining the party as well. I'd go 0.5-1.5" or so for most of SNE, with 1-2" for the I91 corridor and BOS/SEMA with localized 3" in the latter of those two enhanced zones. Worth keeping in mind that IVT's often verify a little NE of where models put them, but then again we've seen a decent trend west with this so who knows what that means. Good rule of thumb with them is to expect nothing and be happy with whatever you get, because it's more than you had yesterday.

I just mean the overall nuances elsewhere, but seems like most will see general light snow.
TauntonBlizzard2013
Interesting little event. Going to be winners and losers but most folks should see some snow. I wouldn't be shocked to see a jackpot of 4-5 inches if everything falls into place somewhere

CoastalWx
This area can do well in this setup so I'm hoping for some nice snows anyways. Honestly at this point , I just want white.
