IsentropicLift
Not much help from the 12z GEFS members. A few are tucked into the coast but the large majority end up southeast of the benchmark.

IsentropicLift
Cleaner phase on the Euro so far and the Pacific energy coming in doesn't look as terrible as the GFS.

Allsnow
i don't like the 50/50 position on the euro, its a response from the pac jet being more zonal...
IsentropicLift
This isn't a terrible look at all. Hour 102 surface low over the FL panhandle.
Allsnow
ridge collapse hr 99….might be a bit better then 00z run, but overall a pretty weak and meh solution
IsentropicLift
The Pacific jet is stronger than 00z and a bit closer to the coast but hopefully that can be overcome.

IsentropicLift
It's not just the Pacific energy knocking down the ridge. The energy in the southwest is helping to keep a zonal flow.

IsentropicLift
The setup after this one still looks pretty good. We might need a few sacrificial systems to get the pattern more favorable.
IsentropicLift
Werent you JUST complaining about nitpicking? It's not nitpicking. Saturday is pretty much dry on the Euro. It's making sure the correct information is getting out there. It wasn't nasty or condescending tone either.

SnoSki14
The setup after this one still looks pretty good. We might need a few sacrificial systems to get the pattern more favorable. The storm setup a few days later looks more interesting because it's occurring during the transition. Even better would be a storm after that one (what I believe could ultimately produce). Often times it's the third storm in the series that ends up producing. The Day 10 storm the gfs op shows would not cut realistically, it would be a coastal. SnoSki14
That will quiet the board down, we're back to day 10 threats... Far more realistic threats than before as pattern begins and ultimately changes. That's the most important thing to keep in mind. Indices will become much better by then.
