This band is setting up shop, notice how the western edge of those yellows have stalled and are actually starting to expand back to the west a bit

Definitely seems to be increasing again here on the western edge of the yellow band. The snow really lightened up for about 15-20 minutes and is now heavier again. Thought maybe it was done with the heavy stuff, but nope.

Agreed, we have known we would be gaining a winter storm for a while, but the models never did figure out the details. As of right now I have to go with the RGEM as being the closest, but it is looking like us along I-20 could in East Texas bust high.

Sure does, any thoughts from earlier of a minor event around here have been erased. The bands setting up over Central Texas look like they will pack a serious punch.

Complete bust by the models. Seeing lots of reports of 6+ inch snow amounts just NE of Dallas and 4-5 inch snow amounts near Ft Worth. We may have some issues down here in SE Texas by sunrise. HGX considering issuing Winter Weather Advisories for our Northern Zones as sleet, sometimes heavy may accumulate as temperatures near freezing.

We are already nearing my NWS forecast totals and we are just getting going. Already have over a quarter inch of sleet, a bit of freezing rain and sow is starting to mix in more and more.

Yep, just went outside the office to look, we also made the switch from heavy sleet, over to snow now. Everything getting a nice dusting on it quick on top of the sleet.
