Well, they were not even calling for much rain today. I just wonder if this winter will be hard to predict.

Yeah, odd system that overproduced just enough to make everyone second guess the local meteorologists...lol. I heard NWS getting a bunch of angry calls, no one can just enjoy a surprise. As far as the rest of the winter, I doubt the other systems following will be the type that "fool" the mets. The pattern should allow good modeling, or I hope. It didn't help that a lot of modeling freaking crashed yesterday.

Doesn't anyone else find it a bit funny that 9 days, with over 750 posts, were spent in this thread, dissecting and analyzing every conceivable aspect of this "storm", and the result is a few flakes and multiple posts saying, "Wow!!  No one saw this coming.  Nice surprise".

Had a brief, 30 sec to one minute sleet sprinkle while walking in the woods an hour ago, totally random and didn't believe what I was seeing/hearing at first.
