The most recent run of the HRRR does get a mix all the way to the lakeshore by late evening, but shows over half an inch of liquid falling as snow before then. Even if CLE mixes that'd put them at about 8" for the storm before the mixing occurs.

It's coming down outside... definitely exceeding my expecations so far. Flake size changes with the heavier returns but the size is large now. Radar is filling in to the west as well. I haven't measured but eyeballing looks like 3"+.

Whatever happens later won't be as painful as this a great start to the storm.

I can't believe how much snow we've gotten. NWS was calling for an inch or less here today when I woke up this morning. We must be approaching 5" of new snow just since 6 am. It's been snowing all day so far, and really picked up in intensity since noon.

5" already? Radar must not be picking up the snow in YNG.

Inch per hour rates at CLE for the past 4 consecutive hours. Oddly the snow depth didn't rise for one of those hours.

Just dumping out there. Will be closing in on 5.5" soon. This isn't hard to measure either. Hopefully CLE can get an accurate measurement of cement.

Don't want to jinx anything... but wondering if we don't stay all snow, with perhaps a brief period of mixing. Temp is stuck at 29/28 IMBY.

Radar doesn't look great to the southwest but it keeps redeveloping just south here.

Still pouring snow here.  Flake size quite a bit smaller that earlier.  We are at right around 7".  Got a feeling we're going to see some power outages when the winds really pick up later this evening - this snow is like cement and really clinging to tree branches.

How much snow are you guys up to? I see the dry slot keeps filling in over the northern two tiers of counties from Lake Erie.

I'm shocked that I just measured a little over 7" outside. Radar looks great but it's a very heavy wet snow right now, ratios have to be below 10:1. We'll see how accumulations go the rest of the night, but this is nice surprise for an "un-bust".

Just cleared the snowboard so we'll see how much piles up overnight.

Awesome storm so far. Snowing heavily again. The dry slot was short lived and the radar looks great. If this keeps up I wouldn't be surprised to see double digits by midnight. Looks like we are approaching a period where mixing might take place... but radar would indicate that is still well to the south... not sure it will make it this far north but you never know,

Thanks guys, glad this ended up being a good storm up there! Oddly, some areas even inland will at least approach the low end of my map from yesterday and exceed the high numbers on my map from today. I guess that's why you put a range on snowfall projections.

As for CLE, I believe they measure every 6 hours, so there's a good chance that 4.4" was just through 1:00PM.
