Chaser25973
There's nothing like walking around in NYC in December with all of the Christmas lights up while it's snowing out.
SnoSki14
First coating of the season and nice to see. Now the wait for something a bit more significant.
Rjay
Really beautiful scene north of the LIE in Nassau between .5-1" depending on location Down here in the snow hole it's hardly a dusting. And it begins again! NS vs SS Eh maybe your location just stinks . Nice coating here on cold surfaces/grass.

LongBeachSurfFreak
Eh maybe your location just stinks . Nice coating here on cold surfaces/grass. Yeah, you guys did better even a few miles west. Even Long Beach got more then I did today! It's all good I'm used to it. Somewhere right along the South Shore is the least snowy place in NY State. Pretty cool out right now with some tiny little ice crystals falling. Never really truly stopped
Guest Pamela
Continuing to snow in the Port Jefferson area with a temperature finally down to the freezing point / 0 C.

Guest Pamela
Heaviest amounts should be out over northern Long Island...where they invariably are. See, I told you it would be a good day...if an inch or so can be deemed heavy...lol.
Absolute Humidity
Slight coating here, .1 .2" car topper here with a slight vail of white on the grass. Hope to pick up more later.

Guest Pamela
Dendrite growth quite simply non existent at the current hour as a lack of condensation nuclei is precluding the development of snow flakes and we are stuck with some freezing drizzle at present. IsentropicLift
Ended up picking up just over an inch at home, main roads see fine but back roads are quite icey. We had a heavy burst right around 6:15 or so and then a bit of a lull. Now it's snowing again here lightly.

LongBeachSurfFreak
Just shy of an inch here. Very clingy snow. It actually looks like winter. Exactly what it looked like on the north shore of Nassau. Here currently the vast majority of the slight dusting has melted as we too have spiked above freezing. Still some occasional flakes in the air
