Carolina Weather Group has been the home for quite a few special guests in 2014. The panel is taking us into the holidays with our biggest feature yet...legendary ABC 33/40 (Birmingham AL) Meteorologist James Spann will be sitting down with the Carolina Weather Group for an interview on all things weather...

From the deadly tornado outbreak of three years ago, to the expectations for this winter, to social media impacts in the weather community, the panel will talk just about any and all things in the world of Meteorology.

That's awesome. I was bored on YouTube last weekend and was browsing through old coverages of the March '93 superstorm and came across a few of Mr. Spann's tv spots in Birmingham. Good stuff.

Gone are the days of being a chief weatherman without a college degree, like Mr. Spann was. We'd have a few good ones on this board!
