OceanStWx
-3F and crisp at 750ft. Really strong inversion at around 2,000ft...its +10F at 2,600ft. Front end thump looks good to go. I wonder if someone gets a lot of sleet in this too if some sneaky warm layers go out in front of the main precip shield. The rockpile far and away the warmest temp in NH right now. Damage In Tolland
Don't worry, after 1-3", we're all rain, at least where i live. Well hopefully all you guys do well up there. Enjoy it ..I guess we still have a shot down here of some backlash Wed nite.

CT Valley Snowman
First call: 48 hours Monday 00Z through Wed 00Z BDL: 1 TOLLAND 1.5 CEF 2 BAF 2 ORH Airport 4.5 HUBBARDSTON 5.5 GREENFIELD'380' 6.5 SHELBURNE 9.5 PiTTSFIELD 9.5 SAVOY 14 I'm not familiar enough with eastern mass to make a call out there. Could be a thin glaze of glaze/ IP on top of the snow as well and I would probably bring down the high temperatures about 2-4 degrees on Tuesday from what Taunton is putting out but they are the experts. Tuesday morning commute impacts possibly NW of 84 and especially north of the Pike. Im going with a bit more of a thump than some of the modeling with the cold air in place at the onset. Bust potential with sightly warmer or colder profiles.
moneypitmike
14.6/9 with a stiff wind this morning on a 5 miler. Good stuff. Something is up. No guidance or forecasts had it getting nearly this cold Box had me around 10, which at 4:30 was pretty close. Upgrade ftw.

moneypitmike
Down to 8.3 at the pit. Can tell how the earlier start times that were modeled last week were showing a snow scenario.

CT Valley Snowman
Very interesting map from BOX for watches, etc. Eastern part of N ORH cty has nothing Unusual. powderfreak
BTV first guess is eastern Adirondack high peaks region for jackpot locally. Someone on here mentioned that yesterday, lol. WHILE LOWER VALLEY LOCALES COULD SEE AN ADDITIONAL FEWINCHES HERE AND THERE THROUGH FRIDAY...HIGHER ELEVATIONS SHOULDCONTINUE TO DO QUITE WELL ACCUMULATION WISE. powderfreak
The 6z HIRES NAM is really warm with the mid-levels...pretty much starts as sleet right to the Canadian border with just a pounding in CNY.

CT Rain
Color me unimpressed with this storm south of the Pike. Don't see a big wind, flood, or costal flood threat. It all looks pretty marginal. Farther north should be a pretty hellacious front end dump maybe as far south as the Northern Berks. Some incredible lift with that initial surge of warm advection. The northern Berkshires are close to a paste bomb.

CT Rain
Definitely more interesting out by Hubby. Look at how the Euro has that band of dynamically cooled air at 850 hpa over the Berks at 18z. That's an impressive signature there. I think the ski areas in S VT are in good shape.
moneypitmike
A few more ticks colder and it changes to something more significant for a lot of us Is there any indication that should happen? Looks like the pit bottomed out at 8.1/1, up to 10.1 now.

Hopefully it ends up just cold enough in the mid-levels.

A few inches of heavy, wet snow and pingers isn't a bad thing for base-building though. I'll take anything this early in the season!
