Patchogue appears to hold the record for the snowiest winter on Long Island with 92.0 inches recorded during 1995-96...including 16.0 inches in April 1996 alone.

Upton / Brookhaven Lab has the all time official record low for Long Island...they fell to -23 F on the morning of January 22nd, 1961.

Top 20 snowfalls at Smithtown since November 1995 (19 winters):

Feb 8-9, 2013     27.0

I say it tops '78...even if 90% of it fell in 9 hours.

Yup I'm very disappointed in the way a lot of people are reacting to your gender reassignment. Post your vast wealth of knowledge about the weather like you used to and everyone will move on.

Agreed. This board needs less focus on each persons life stories and attacks on one another. I think some people get their jollies by coming on here and acting around.

That's why I'm skeptical but if it's true about the whole gender reassignment I want to emphasize I have nothing against Pam. We just don't need the giggly sarcastic responses and feministic schtick. And the reason I felt compelled to put in ignore is because the majority of posts recently were largely nonsense.

agree 100 % - and if we had a test like that one well known MET would not be allowed to post here - also if the 20 -21 storm does not verify he owes quite a few people an apology around here - even if it does verify he still owes an apology because of all his name calling and insults IMO - Also about Pamela and this "gender reassignment" - why has this become a continuous topic of conversation around here and why is she advertising it here that is what is making people suspicious???- this is a weather board folks ! Also it has become very concerning about certain individuals using pictures of real people that are not themselves - and by the way - that is illegal - especially if the avatar is of a racist nature - this is the type of stuff that needs to be dealt with in this forum ..........

Can i get a link to that law? In the interest of only posting facts and all. Im curious.

also you have to be extremely careful what you post online nowadays and in the future as you will be held accountable . This website and its owners will be held accountable also if they noticed the picture or remark of a member and did not take action to remove it . Also anyone who is a public servant such as a teacher or law enforcement officer has to be even more careful what they post online for obvious reasons as they are held to a higher standard ! Also don't think that you are invisible and can't be located - this website records your IP address and you can be tracked down and located by the authorities ! Use common sense when posting in other words don't post images that don't belong to you and you do not have permission to use !

stop posting
