LongBeachSurfFreak
What an epic thread this has become I grew up in a cop family. I always said I never wanted to be one because I'm too nice. Aka I don't like messing with people. How do you do it!
Guest Pamela
We can only dream that this is true. Those that take pleasure in degrading and demeaning others are the worst kind. Especially those who clearly think they have "superior" knowledge and intelligence. People didn't sit at the lunch table with you years ago but trying to exact that same kind of revenge on others behind your keyboard makes you no better than the ones that hurt you. Go away and don't show up anywhere. Genuine and caring people don't like people like you and they never will. Anthony is a good, good soul and person. Get help. By the way...you sound extremely feeble minded & fake...with your arrogance cloaked as humility...claiming insight into two strangers personal lives & characters based on reading some message board comments...the type that is easily led and manipulated by others and lets the world draw his conclusions and shape his opinions for him. Guest Pamela
OMG Mr Justice Rehnquist!!!!!!!!!!!!!! circa 1971 When they asked him if he had a chance to get the seat vacated by the retiring John Harlan, he famously quipped: "Nope...because I'm not from the South, I'm not a woman, and I'm not mediocre." Guest Pamela
When they asked him if he had a chance to get the seat vacated by the retiring John Harlan, he famously quipped: "Nope...because I'm not from the South, I'm not a woman, and I'm not mediocre." The last part refers to a comment made on the Senate Floor by Republican Roman Hruska...when G Harrold Carswell's nomination for a seat on the Supreme Court was being debated...Hruska's "support" of Carswell did more harm than good...I recall him saying something to the effect of "even if he is mediocre...there are a lot of mediocre people, and lawyers, and judges...they're entitled to a little representation, now aren't they?" The Senate was not impressed with Hruska's line of reasoning and ultimately rejected the Carswell nomination...Harry Blackmun would ultimately get the seat being vacated by Abe Fortas. But Rehnquist wryly recalled Hruska's speech the year after.

Great for the interior and iffy for the start on the coast but then gets better as it gets colder. The gfs op drops multiple snowstorms and develops a huge -NAO. It also delivers a white Christmas and would create an epic pattern around these parts.

You are so smart. Didn't you just do the very same thing you accused me of? Your carefully constructed posts that aim to tear down others won't work on me. You're right. I don't know you and you don't know me. But I do know that you're a troll on these boards and get your jollies out of tearing other people down. People like that need to be called out on it and apparently I'm far from alone in my opinions judging by the past few pages. But thanks for the nasty judgment. I will work harder on forming my own opinions for you.

Guest Pamela
Central Park with 1.2 inches of snow to date; normal season to date is 1.7 inches...so they are at about 71% of normal...though the small sample really precludes reaching any serious conclusions about trends.
