Though I came into the argument with a huge advantage (all of me vs most of the board)...I'd say I won rather handily.

I think I have proven to be a worthy successor to Nikolai...

It's been real...

Shades of a mis-spent youth listening to Dr Demento.

By the way, he is still at it:

in 1968 I went from listening to Frankie Valli in January to Frank Zappa later in the year...The mothers of invention...1968 was a bad year to this country and snowstorms around here...

I think its time they permanently ban me and I move on...I'll still read the board as a guest during the winter.  Everything runs its course...and then its over.  A fresh start elsewhere sounds good.  Moderators or administrator...remove this account and all associated posts.  It will be like I was never even here...

Regards,

Pamela

OMG I soooooooooo totally love this Zappa quote...

“If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your ****, then you deserve it.”

Just had to share that before I'm out of here...

Banning you would be a good idea, yes. Since you don't seem to have any self control.

Paul wrote about the 1969 Lindsey Storm in the preface to his "Snowstorms Along the Northeast Coast of the United States"...he said he was a teenager living in Commack Long Island...the wind started out SE to his dismay...he went to sleep...and when he woke up there was an inch on the ground the wind had veered to the NE...and he had an exciting day ahead of him.

The book was written over 20 years ago and was sort of a precursor to his renowned two volume collection.

I went to see Canned Heat at the Fillmore East the night the Lindsay storm started...When I was on line to get in the winds were coming up the street from the se...When the show was over about 3am it was snowing when we got outside...I drove home to Brooklyn and went to sleep for about three hours...When I a woke I went out and drove around in my f85 olds...It was snowing very hard and driving was getting bad so I parked the car...the forecast was for snow changing to rain but it was a pleasant bust...

The thing about it was; there was a lousy anticyclone in place...it was one of those "one in ten" situations I often cite...nine other times it would be rain...but with a cold February ocean...a halfway decent track...and a little luck...the city did great & Westchester was close to 30 inches, IIRC....east of Upton on Long Island it was mostly rain.
