20+ inches is just overkill if you ask me. I would've gladly taken a quarter of what fell here, at least it would've been manageable.

I got nearly 13" here in Northern Queens and it was perfect.

With drifts, it looks like 25" and it took me 20 minutes to snowblow the entire property and helped some neighbors as well.

Ikr, Its so hard to bear.

Ikr, Its so hard to bear.

Well my neighbors were all high fiving and thankful thismorning that we "lucked out." Pretend for today that you are likemost sane people and embrace the idea that snow sucks and look at those poor SOB's on LI and boston that gotta deal with this stuff. And my aunt/uncle/son/ daughter lives in TX/Fl/AZ/San Diego or whatever and I can't wait to move there with them and get away from all this damn ice and snow.....THAT is how the vast majority of adults view winter weather. Honestly, aside from these boards, I never meet anyone over 18 who has anything good to say about the cold or snow. Or NJ! that's why I come here. No one here thinks I am odd for liking snow. Hell, even my own kids don't like snow!

This isnt as hard to bear as last years storm where it was ripping snow in DC to southern Monmouth, the radar looked like it was going to move north, but every time it tried to it got squashed south. Stayed up all night for that storm. Which is why it was hard to bear lol. Either way we still had a bunch of snow by that time last year. I'm justt really hoping we can Cash In, at least once this winter.

This was a good storm for the NYC area. Piles of snow everywhere with high drifts.

SNE is getting crushed with some places over 30 inches of snow. WOW.

It is a beautiful winter day out here, about 7 on the ground, easy to clean up.Just about right, TBH. It was the hype that makes it sting. We'd all be happy jacks if we were looking for 5 and got 7 in what has been a boring winter to date.

Really don't want to hear LI complain anymore. We can't manage a 20" as easily as them. Storms like Nemo and Blizzard of 2015 its easily 20 " +. Only storm that really hammered us was Boxing Day and I couldnt even manage 25 " + in that one. You guys do realise that when LI rains and it's snowing here we rarely get over 14 " +. But when we get shafted here LI EASILY gets 20" +. Just a few weeks ago East LI was giving up on the winter. Either way enjoy the snow days over there. Probably 2 days +.

I never cancel winter until it's over, all it takes is one good storm

Definitely ..its cold 2 decent events in a row. If this supposed to be a 4-8 inch event we'd all be thrilledI

I hope we can get a nice widespread slow moving Miller A this season that hits everyone from DC-Bos. Relying on being in the "superband" of a redeveloping Miller B is just too frustrating.

Congrats to those that got to experience the blizzard of '15 ^_^ For those that didn't get that experience........you still seen more snow yesterday than I have the past two years combined....... and for the record.....I'm still jealous :P:ph34r:

I am winter obsessed. But this storm made me excited for golf season. Lol
