Solak Posted December 24, 2014 Share Posted December 24, 2014 You can tell it's trying to warm up out there... there's a real thick layer of fog that just started forming about 15 feet off the ground. Strange looking. The heavier rain this morning before dawn reminded me more of a tropical system, as bands of intense showers passed by. We live in an area that at one time was planted with pine trees for pilings and power poles. Most of the trees are now 60-80' tall, and you could hear the heavy rain coming in from the South, pounding on the branches as it moved through the woods, several minutes before it would start pouring here. There still have been only 3 sub freezing temps all month and per NOAA GSP is not forecasted to reach 32 or below over the next 7 days. That hasd go to be a record.
