DCAlexandria
The best part of coming home from work in the winter is pulling up into the driveway and being able to walk around the house to the back porch and have an ice cold beer. IMG_0574.jpg That's amazing. How much it cost? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HighStakes
A 1989-1990 repeat has long been one of my worst nightmares as a weather weenie, even though I wasn't alive at the time Wasn't too different from 2006/2007 winter. wxdude64
There are also a bunch of people who don't use "irony" correctly How many? one? That's ironic. In more ways than one. I can admit to listening to Steely Dan, that count?

wxdude64
A 1989-1990 repeat has long been one of my worst nightmares as a weather weenie, even though I wasn't alive at the time Thing I remember about 12/89 was how COLD it was after the 7th, hit low 60's on 7th and next day 3.5 inches of snow, then it kept coming, cold and snow. Ended month -10.5 and 15 inches of snow. And snow on ground from 8th through rest of month. Had 5 consecutive below zero mornings 22-26 also. Then ugliness. Fozz
I agree. I have many great memories from that winter, especially from all the times I went skiing, much more than I would for most seasons that have mediocre snowfall totals and a moderately positive DJF temp departure. The first planned ski trip was postponed because we were still in a torch, but the rest of them went extremely well and I learned very quickly from my friends. Several times, it just happened to be snowing when we arrived.

IMG_0574.jpg Nice. Is that a porter? I'm a little jealous about the keg.I'm going to pull a gravity sample from my brown ale on Saturday. I plan to bottle on Tuesday unless the sample has hit my FG. I'm not going to worry about taking three different samples if it's already at 1.011. Maris Otter/Centennial APA is up next...

ravensrule
I'm not far from Reistershell Rd, so help yourself. I actually need the help. This stuff is swill. I'm hoping the neighborhood crack head sniffs it out and one day I'll come home with him passed out in the yard and an empty keg. Though more likely, he'll steal the keg for scrap metal. Thanks for the invite, i would come over but i actually hate beer. The setup looks amazing though.

BristowWx
I am addicted to the board. I will be checking it on Xmas morning when my kids ask me why no snow. They don't understand why it hardly snows on Xmas cause in the movies it always snows. I tell them simply we suck at snow here.

Fozz
Thinking of PDII I had to go back and look at PDI, and it led me to this... Side note: Tony Kornheiser hates snow. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/post/washington-dcs-top-5-surprise-snowstorms/2012/01/16/gIQAPwOoAQ_blog.html That 1982 example is really something... a frigid snowstorm from a cutter all the way in Minnesota?
