HighStakes
I remember a storm about 15 years ago. I can't remember the date/year. They were calling for 8-12", starting after midnight. Looked outside around 2am and saw nothing. Went outside around 3 and looked up and saw a clear sky with full moon shinning lol. Almost cried Maybe 12/30/2000. Only little more than two months out from the March 2001 bust. 2 major busts in one season.
HighStakes
OK, 2001. Just how bad was it? Did any snow fall? Often brought up in past threads. Maybe search for a thread about major busts.
Fozz
2000-01 seems like another one of those winters that would've been much better if we'd had a little more luck.

It blew up just north of us and crushed NYC. My sister was up there. She kept sending my pics of white out conditions. I kicked her when she got home. CAPE
I'm not that curious. Wasn't that bad of a bust. Models just took our 2 feet of snow and shifted it to NH within like 36 hours of the event. I remember getting snow showers and like an inch on the backside a day later. Ian
As usual DCAlexandria is a moron but we expect that. I wasn't the first to use it but was first to use it for the storm. The Santa photobomb intermixed are fun.

nw baltimore wx
The best part of coming home from work in the winter is pulling up into the driveway and being able to walk around the house to the back porch and have an ice cold beer. WinterWxLuvr
Biggest fail I remember as an adult was early December 1989. Living in SWVA at the time, my local forecast was 14-20". Not one flake. Any of you guys remember that one up here? Was it a busy here as well? I think it was in the Dec 6-8 period???

nw baltimore wx
That is awesome. You should start drive through beer service. I'm not far from Reistershell Rd, so help yourself. I actually need the help. This stuff is swill. I'm hoping the neighborhood crack head sniffs it out and one day I'll come home with him passed out in the yard and an empty keg. Though more likely, he'll steal the keg for scrap metal.

I had 3 eight inch snows between Thanksgiving and Christmas and then the pattern pretty much went to hades Didn't turn out nearly as well in Owings Mills that month. We got about 4 inches in the Thanksgiving storm and then got about 4 more on 12/8. The 12/8 storm was a cold one with temps in the low to mid 20's but it under achieved a bit as we supposed to get closer to 6. Then there was a storm on the following Tues/Wed and that ended up a bust. Can't remember exactly but I think there was a WSW for 3-6 and ended up with a couple sloppy inches on the tail end overnight in to Wed. morning. My most vivid memory of the month was as a Junior in High School leaving for school one of the frigid mornings we had and being an idiot, I didn't wear a hat and my wet hair froze.
