I wasn't too thrilled about the 50s temps in Vegas the next few days until I just looked at the forecast back home. That is just one miserable weather pattern we are stuck in. Not cold enough to snow but mostly chilly and breezy and/or cloudy it seems the past couple weeks. Hope next weeks storm reshuffles that deck.

Horrible start. We just punted away one winter month. Pattern change keeps getting delayed. No cold in Canada. Can't even drive to see snow. This smells like 2006-2007. Like we're going to get 2 good winters in a row. I've seen enough. It's flipping over

I'd be lying if I said I was not starting to get a bit worried...the QBO had me concerned a bit in the fall but its becoming somewhat apparent its gotta be at least a big portion of the problem we're starting to see.  Many GFS ensembles want to destroy the WRN Ridge by Day 13 or so and some event want a GOA low...impossible to see if its long term or just transitory at this range so no way we can really say punt this pattern change yet but there is also not enough evidence to say we are definitely going into the freezer.  The Euro SE ridge idea is probably overdone as it continually overdigs stuff in the SW...a big reason it was too far west with the now dying Santa bomb initially.

I agree this winter seemed to peak in late November. Pattern changes keep getting delayed. It's not that big of a deal- if I get no snow here it will be 3 of the last 4 winters here that were shutouts. But living at the beach has it's advantages

that's a really nice town...always loved coastal Del....always wanted to retire there someday....didn't know the snow situation was that bad though
