Take out that 70 high at the start of the month and highs would be running right around average. DCA's low of 31 on the 13th is the only low below freezing this month. The funny thing is people saying the gfs scored a win. really? It had no storm at all for days. The euro trending weaker while the gfs figures out a storm actually exists is hardly a win. I blame 90% of that on myself for getting dry yeast, and 20% on my girlfriend because she doesn't read directions and roasted the yeast when she started it (in spite of the written directions I handed her). Oh well. It's still drinkable. And at 7.5% abv, it does the trick. I trust my wife implicitly, but I wouldn't let her near a batch I'm brewing right now. To much chance to screw up a lot of hard work. Leave the f*** ups to me! My chocolate oatmeal stout requires a steel stomach right now. And a clothespin to hold your nose. I jacked something up somewhere, but letting it mellow for another month or two might work. However... Last night, I took a whiff of the hoppy brown ale in my carboy - been fermenting for a little over a week now.
