WinterWxLuvr
I would find it amusing to have a warm wall to wall winter with no snow just so I could witness the meltdowns. In fact, I think I'll hope for that from here on out. Warm, no snow, none.
snowfan
Question for the parents on the board.....its insurance open season.....anyone else use a dependent care FSA to pay for daycare expenses? Do you find that the reimbursement process is timely?

snowfan
I used it. Submitted my forms every month and got the money added into my next paycheck Thinking about signing up this year. The tax benefit isn't a huge amount, but its something and it appears there is now an option available to submit receipts online to avoid filling out the form every month. Have until Monday to decide.....

Fozz
December is stupid. I think the past 12 years spoiled us with all those December 5th storms... expecting a good storm that early is like expecting 40" for the season in NYC.. it's not normal but we've been in a lot of luck recently. CAPE
Kinda funny reading the NE subforum...weenies at wits end already and the more level headed posters/mets trying to keep some semblance of order lol. Here we(for the most part) just take it in stride...and do poetry.
Mrs.J
It is spray misting out there. Just enough to make you use your lowest wiper setting and it still scrape across the windshield.

gisman
My wife is taking the kid to South America for the winter school break--a trip that I have been released from. Need to figure out something to do for a few weeks, and I am leaving towards winter weather tourism. Lots of snow, northern lights, unique scenery--all on a place that is reasonable to get to that isn't too crowded or expensive during the school holiday. Thinking about Tromso, Norway. Y'all have any other ideas?
nj2va
A small part of me kinda hopes this winter busts and we barely get any snow. It'd be funny reading the NYC and NE subform meltdowns.

They have good meltdowns. I guess the MA is accustomed to mediocre patterns.

Kay
Come on.. It wasn't that bad. At least it wasn't like yesterday. In all seriousness, if I can be home and indoors for it, I enjoy the occasional dark, dreary, rainy, crappy day. CWG 2/10 today. What would ratchet it down to 1? Today's lr ensemble guidance had me considering walking the streets and kicking stray dogs and cats. Not nearly as dark but definitely not something sane people contemplate
snowfan
This weather is the worst. Either be cold enough for snow or be pleasant outside. This raw, foggy, cold crap is awful.
