I just returned from January 15th, 2015 in my time machine.  The weather that day was 62º and sunny with a gentle SW breeze.

If between now and then the following were to occur.......

We argue over every run of every model.

The weather will be, sunny 62º with a gentle SW breeze.

We ignore the models completely and live our lives.

The weather will be, sunny 62º with a gentle SW breeze.

The model thread reaches 10,000 posts.

The weather will be, sunny 62º with a gentle SW breeze.

The model thread does not have a singe post for a month.

The weather will be, sunny 62º with a gentle SW breeze.

The models, five days out show a major snow.

The weather will be, sunny 62º with a gentle SW breeze.

Everyone is happy

The weather will be, sunny 62º with a gentle SW breeze.

Everyone is pissed.

We get 250 mets to join the forum.

I ban everyone but myself.

Yellowstone erupts.

All bets are off.

Perhaps this will help calm some nerves on edge here on the pattern change or lack thereof:

Tchaikovskys Symphony # 1 Winter Dreams

It is not Christmas Music but we play it many winter nights when there is snowpack on the ground.

This just happened to be the first classical recording I bought while a senior in High School on vinyl and it is known as the best version available and is on remastered CD today.

Winters must have been tough when this was written in 1866 as history said Tchaikovsky spent many sleepless Russian winter nights writing it and had a nervous breakdown over it. He must have been up waiting for the ECMWF to be hand drawn.

If you mind 'gets' classical music and you long for winter storms, strolls through snow covered country side and long winter dreams with the moon glistening off of a fresh snow packed ground this work is for you
