Bevo
I wanted to play Destiny so bad, was it a decent game? I heard it was another generic FPS clone so I shied away from it. I also wanted to get Halo Master Chief Collection. To me, Destiny is almost in it's own category. An FPS/MMORPG that breaks a few molds. Halo is still great though. But the Destiny community is eager to help each other, which I find lacking in most social games (especially massive multiplayers). It's worth it. It's literally the only game I've ever considered playing almost daily.
LithiaWx
You know for the SE US ridge to be a significant player on anomalous temperature & precipitation patterns, it has to be anomalous? Your seemingly confident assertion that it has been a death knell for snow chances is completely false because it wasn't even there to begin w/, then ironically you decided to move the goal posts to say that it has been what would be described as transient & then erroneously claimed 5800dm heights were somehow unusual? Give me a break... Welcome to my ignore list. I will not engage someone who puts words in my mouth and can't stop a discussion until the other person has been beaten into submission. I didn't say half of what you just wrote, period.... Your days are numbered unless you learn the ability to not take every disagreement to the end of the earth. You have a wealth of knowledge but you have some serious growing up to do. I hope you can figure out how to change your posting style a bit for your sake and for everything that you could be teaching folks if you just knocked off the snarkeyness and didn't have a hissy fit every time someone doesn't agree with everything you say. Bevo
Counter-Strike is still the king for most serious computer gamers. Most these newer shooter type games come out, and pass by really fast (especially on PC). Almost like its the "cool thing to play at the time". We can thank the Twitch site and the popular streamers for that crap. Call of Duty and Battlefield have been the most popular among console gamers though. I personally think those games are severely ruining future games because they keep coming out with the same crap that should have been free/cheap (DLC) at most, and selling it as an entirely new game for $60 +. In turn, other game companies are copying their greedy motives to absolutely screw the gamer and make them buy more because their friends are! Destiny was the first game to out sell CoD in it's debut. By a lot. CoD players will feel really comfortable with it though, as it does have a lot of similarities. **Edit** I hope you aren't one of those "pc master-race" gamers

I can't buy consoles anymore. There are many reasons, but my top three are these: 1)New games + DLC content is ridiculous vs Computer game sales/prices. 2)Graphics. All the Way. I see no reason buying a piece of hardware (console that cant be upgraded) for so much that is going to be outdated in a year graphically. 3)I actually like to have control over everything in game. Aiming w. a mouse + keyboard is much more fun to me. If I want the game to load faster, I'll just get a faster CPU, RAM, etc. Not just be stuck with "waiting" like a console. The best thing IMO about a console is that you are promised the game will run on the hardware and you wont have to upgrade your computer to get it to play right. Are those remotely better arguments than what most of those stereotypical pc gamer elitists say? I hope. I build computers and all that good stuff, so I'd like to consider my arguments a step above some of those whiney troll gamers on forums for PC. Edit: The final straw was really the Cinavia protection they threw on the PS3. Now any device with Blu-Ray (even Xbox One) must have that copyright protection in place. I am NOT a fan of it for various reasons.

Cold Rain
The Banter Activity Index is really high today. Is a winter storm imminent? Ahem... The Banter Advance Index "The BAI -- Banter Advance Index. When the Banter thread grows at a higher rate than the Pattern or Storm thread, the BAI increases. The greater the delta of Banter posts over Pattern posts, the higher the BAI. High BAI values have an extremely strong correlation to immediate or forecast mild and/or snowless conditions." The Pattern thread has been quite active, so the BAI might actually not be all that high.

The big problem is always having to wait 2 years to get a game on PC. It really sucks that PC's have so much more horsepower but sales dictate almost everything good be designed to run on a PS or an Xbox first. It should be designed through a PC interface and then shift down to a Xbox/PS....you would probably end up with much better games.

A lot of higher end computers made like 4 years ago can still run new higher end games now.....only thing needing an upgrade would probably be a high end video card.
