GaWx
I'm sure this is no surprise but Mike Smith has been fired. The surprising thing is no word of the GM/Dimitroff being fired. In my opinion he should be given his walking papers also. Dimitroff needs to be fired, too. Even though Julio has done very well overall, he put way too many draft chips on Julio back when he was drafted a few years ago at the expense of potential picks to help the two lines. Julio is not superman. No one person is superman. Also, the draft of 2014 was very unimpressive with regard to defensive line/linebacker/pass rushing picks imo. I haven't understood several of the moves made over the past few years. Some of the named free agents signed were head scratchers. Also why draft Devonta Freeman this past year when you already have Steven Jackson and Jacquizz Rodgers. That pick could of been used on a offensive lineman or defensive lineman. Also why sign Devin Hester in the offseason when you know you need help on the OL and defense? I like Freeman and Hester, I just don't think that's what they needed. tnweathernut
How do the temps look across the country in the D 6-10? 6 and 7 looks fairly seasonal across TN and NC, days 8 and 9 cool to cold. Day 10, highs look to be in the mid 30's to low 40's Big high in the northern plains day 9 (1042), and another big high in northwest Canada 1045+ day 10. Overall, looks like warmer and wet, then cool/cold and dry. The overall setup for wintry weather could be a LOT better if a few of the players were aligned just a little bit differently IMO

packfan98
Just because it's mild doesn't mean it's because of "the SE Ridge." On a related note, this weather sucks right now. I thought we would be honing in on several winter weather threats this week and next week. Now we wait...
burgertime
Models are terrible right now. They have moved away from the cold west with a huge PV dropping now to more of a cold NE. Personally I'm not going to get obsessed with a SSW...this could be winter of just "blah" but I'm not giving up yet.

Brick Tamland
I won't be worried until we are in February. Last winter I didn't get any snow until the last week of January and ended up getting a couple more after that, and ended up at average. And things looked really bad last winter until that first snow. I was hoping we would have something by now. But it's not even January yet. The models are all over the place. Things can change quickly here. Even if we don't get anything until the end of January or beginning of February, if we just get a couple of events and one big one, that still would be good and could end up being above average. tnweathernut
The Euro is bipolar lately. Come back at 00z for something different. I love winter, no wait, i hate winter. Nevermind, i love winter. Just wanted to be bi-polar like the Euro to see what it was like. Wish we could "medicate" the models, lol. On a serious note, if they don't become more stable/reliable soon, most of this board might be the ones that need to medicate.
