WxUSAF
Was the euro actually dry? 0.73" and counting. Was about to comment about the models on this event in general. Sufficient moisture doesn't seem to be an issue lately. Thanks El Nino?

nj2va
Was the euro actually dry? 0.73" and counting. Yesterday's 12z run forecasted about 0.15" total for the event. Euro pretty much sucked with this event.

WxUSAF
6z GFS interesting again for early Friday morning. Snow sounding at 6z on Friday with a little precip in the area. NAM has almost no precip at the same time. Euro looks more like the NAM for precip.
snowfan
GFS appears to be bone dry around these parts after Saturday thru the 384 hr period.
wxdude64
Very foggy earlier this am. Ended event with 0.88-all liquid, no sleet or freezing rain at my elevation. Now about 2/3's way up the ridges that was a different story....icy, icy, icy.
T. August
LWX had the high for my area today at 54F. It's only 43.3F now. It probably won't get above 45F by much, considering the temp only went up by 1.5 degrees the last 3 hours.

EastCoast NPZ
this is probably the worst December month i can remember Hard to beat Dec 2011 and 2012, Though we did manage to sneak a white period from Dec 24 - Jan 1 out here in 2012. Looks like we may make a run at it though. Moral of the story: regardless of the state of oceans and atmosphere, there is a constant index that 90% of time trumps all others, the "this place completely sucks" index. WEATHER53
Another feature of this winter will be what is occuring today adn that is the warm front has a hard time clearing north of the area before the cold front passes. It's milder at DCA now, 51, but I am still at 43.

AlaskaETC
You know, the depressive moanings were cute a decade ago but have grown VERY old. Agreed, especially on the 3rd day of December. Save that for a late January pattern collapse.

Bob Chill
Euro actually has a little bit of snow on the tail end late sunday and overnight. Snowmaps are bogus because 850's are too warm at first but the column would support snow early monday morning.

Oddly, the euro ensembles agree with the strange evolution. Ensemble support for snow is still weak but definitely more members on board A couple would bring weenies to their knees and weeping with joy
