Bob Chill
Not much wiggle room at 850 on 12z gfs. 0c pushes n before precip shuts off.
Ian
Those midday temps though:
Ian
nice cad. euro is probably right pushing everything south.
Bob Chill
Para keeps precip max just south of dc but plenty cold. This will be a good test of our recent snow town status

HighStakes
Looks like a similar version of 1/17/2008 on the GFS. That one trended better as the event got closer.
Bob Chill
Para repeats with a wetter/warmer setup d6. Pretty strong hp to the north though. Boring week becoming interesting?

WinterWxLuvr
That is one massive high to the ne on the gfs. Cold probably won't be an issue Tues
CAPE
Relatively cold air persistently lurking just to our N and NE over the first week of Dec. Old school GFS looks pretty cold for the MA by week 2.

That was a 3" snow in Winchester but it followed bone chilling cold.

stormtracker
Hey Scott (Coastal), do you think a wintry mix instead of snow is possible?
Bob Chill
Not an optimal hp placement for continuous CAD but the sig is there for part of tues. Hp sliding ne the whole time. One possible solution would be light snow to pellets to even some light zr. Eta: assuming the precip doesn't stay south. Euro likes that for now. Hopefully 12z looks more like the multiple gfs

CoastalWx
Hey Scott (Coastal), do you think a wintry mix instead of snow is possible? Maybe in nrn areas at the onset there could be? This looks like a classic IP/ZR signal for the most part.
