cyclone77
^Nice pics. Still looks like a winter wonderland up there. Made it up to 49 here. Started out at 26 with some patchy dense fog/frizzle. Have had a dark, menacing overcast all day.
IWXwx
Temperature forecast bust here today. Earlier in the week, mid and upper 40's were predicted, but as it became obvious that the inversion would hang tough, progged highs were dropped back to upper 30's. Well, a sucker hole developed in the stratus and we suddenly torched to 47°. Actually feels warm. On a related note, tomorrow will be the third day in a row that an air quality alert was issued for the Indy area, kind of unusual for mid December around these parts. ...AN AIR QUALITY ACTION DAY HAS BEEN DECLARED...THE OFFICIALS AT THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENTHAVE CALLED FOR AN AIR QUALITY ACTION DAY ON SATURDAY...DECEMBER13TH AND SUNDAY...DECEMBER 14TH FOR THE FOLLOWING INDIANACOUNTIES...MARION...HAMILTON...MADISON...DELAWARE...HANCOCK...SHELBY...JOHNSON...MORGAN...HOWARD...HENDRICKS...BOONE AND KKNOX.FINE PARTICULATE LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE ORANGE ORUNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS RANGE. snowstormcanuck
complete bootleg warm up here, likely because of snow cover and onshore flow. Haven't cracked 40 the last 3 days.
Snowstorms
complete bootleg warm up here, likely because of snow cover and onshore flow. Haven't cracked 40 the last 3 days. But the snow is melting away. Hoping it can survive the next 2 or 3 days before temperatures fall below freezing again. My snowpack is down to 4.7" after it was 8.5" on Thursday. Geos
Hit 49° 50° today here. Could not shake the clouds off one bit today. Fog development started back up after 4pm today, especially as you get inland from the lake a little bit. Few pictures of the fog this afternoon. Thought the Oaks made it seem kind of spooky! Chitown Storm
Damn near 50F still at this hour. Insane fog with heavy mist at times. Ice on the lake taking a major hit this weekend.

Stebo
Wow. It was a very dark, murky gray all day here. Yeah I took US-20 to Toledo, and it didn't get cloudy until I got to Toledo, all of Northern IN was in very warm and pleasant conditions.
daddylonglegs
More fog, more clouds...rain on its way..mid 40Fs...no snow anywhere (even the bluffs are snow free)..frost has started coming out of the ground...mud everywhere. Only thing missing is zombies. The sun should make its first appearance in over a week on Weds....

BadgerStateWX
Depressing December vibe for sure of late. So much cloud cover and no precip. Pumping the Vitamin D to no avail.
Gilbertfly
Enjoyed the milder month considering how cold November was. The weekend warmth was decent, but seemed to be dulled by the constant cloud/fog rolling around mby....I'm about done with the muddy paw cleaning though....bring back the frozen ground please
BadgerStateWX
unfortunetley the overnight time temps were where it was at this weekend it seemed - guess it made it nice for party goers coming home.. But clouds clouds and fog all day, not a way to run a torch.. Yes, muddy paw season can be a bear but at least its coming to a reprieve soon for you. My cousin and his wife adopted two 5 month old rescue puppies and we witnessed yesterday them battling that chore. Leaving their house after dark last night I unknowingly stepped in a pile of Puppy "mud" Brutal when the floor heat kicked in.
DAFF
No muddy paws here. Was at a friends new build site and the ground was almost workable. Finishing up painting some equipment today.

Hoosier
Just about wiped out the December negative temperature anomaly at LAF...-0.2F through yesterday. LAF is actually the only major reporting site in C IN that isn't in positive territory yet. That's a product of having a bunk December average temperature...due to missing data and the past LAF warm bias in the 1981-10 timeframe. So, consider us in plus territory. Though, this has been a pretty lame torch versus what was advertised...
