NinjaWarrior2
I don't know if we can trust the GGEM, it gives Las Vegas a crippling Snowstorm lol. But I believe in Christmas Miracles I guess

Fozz
Yeah, I think I'm finally starting to resist getting excited over 4 days out. Especially after getting burned from that 12/21 storm
joeride
Yeah, I think I'm finally starting to resist getting excited over 4 days out. Especially after getting burned from that 12/21 storm I know I keep seeing things that look as though it may go our way, then boom gone. I'm not telling the kids of a possible snowstorm any more, as they get mad at me when it doesn't happen. I guess they don't here the word possible. psuhoffman
A lot of the analogs that got people excited had one thing in common. They featured blocking for a good portion of the winter. A few years that didn't happen until later so we have time yet, but I don't expect much to chance until the nao decides to cooperate more.
Ian
I'm not writing off the NY period.. esp the sys around the 2nd-3rd. Too close and IMO could go either way on that one. I think the region could see flakes from both systems at the least.
Wonderdog
I only see out to hr 192 on the old GFS but looks very interesting.
Ian
I only see out to hr 192 on the old GFS but looks very interesting. Maybe a bit on the front and back of the Jan sys but mildish. Para is cold and the low goes southeast of us.
Wonderdog
Looks to be quicker than the 0z run. I know I've harped on the long range accuracy on the models but this is all we got.
Bob Chill
Looks to be quicker than the 0z run. I know I've harped on the long range accuracy on the models but this is all we got. All we have are unresolved digital shortwaves and a gradient se ridge pattern running at highway speeds. A general idea at best. It's not a shutout pattern but quite difficult to grasp as you go out in time. All precip types and scenarios are on the table except for a big noreaster. AmericanWxFreak
Do 850s look decent? 0c looks like it runs through DC but south of BWI. Very light precip across the southern MA. Still very progressive.
Bob Chill
Surface sucks. Verbatim it would be pity non sticky flakes after some chilly rain.

Maybe for Philly..but NoVa tends to disappoint even in good set ups...I get pessimistic when I take out the trash on Xmas and can't see my breath
aldie 22
Time to stop chasing patterns and accept that any snow will probably be fluke or thread the needle type snows. This winter has shown its hand in my opinion...slow fade...slip slidding away
