CoastalWx
So you're saying it could be 100% sleet? No, I never said that. I said we'll see if it mixes out. It probably will. Like Ryan said, it needs to cool a bit..but the warm tongue is near.
moneypitmike
I can bump you up to 15, but full disclaimer, it has no bearing whatsoever on what you will actually receive. My 'ouch' was referring to the lows and 0's you had there. You're probably too generous on mine.

moneypitmike
I didn't think they were that low tbh. It's your map--I would have expected you would think that. I do think things will play out fairly well for a lot of folks. Maybe that's the holiday spirit talking. Meanwhile, temps still suck. 34.9/28, up from 34.

moneypitmike
It would be kind of comical if all of SNE gets screwed with minimal snow and primarily a ip affair that drops a couple inches of pellets while Dendrite/PF/DS/and Eric have to cancel TG plans due to heavy snows. moneypitmike
We call that November Indeed. I woke up this morning and peeked out to see if there was any snow flying yet. As it was bone dry, I had a flashback to the hell that was my childhood in New London where on so many occasions I had gone to bed in anticipating of a snow day to wake up to pouring rain. God-awful mornings those were, and there were lots of them down there. lol

ORH_wxman
You surprised it's starting as all sleet in most places? No, the lower 850mb is really really dry...it's the classic evap cooling sleet..once the deeper lift moves in, it will flip to snow.
