jamesnichols89
I don't think this will amount to much, too early in the season for snowfall along the coastline.
TalcottWx
I don't think this will amount to much, too early in the season for snowfall along the coastline. Me either. I'm thinking 1-3" But that's a nice snowfall for people who get rained on during the main storm.
jamesnichols89
Yeah no doubt, but its not even enough to worry about to come home earlier than we anticipate.
SouthCoastMA
1-3" on Thanksgiving is sweet. How spoiled we are. Just think of all the snowy high school football games that will occur
TauntonBlizzard2013
I'll believe it when I see it. These things are so fickle, but can surprise when they pan out
HoarfrostHubb
I'll believe it when I see it. These things are so fickle, but can surprise when they pan out They always always always seem to give cweat/messenger/leatherfinger the goods. Except when they don't The modeling has trouble really showing where it gets affected, but who can blame them.
Damage In Tolland
It inverts all the way back to Western New England. Inverts are good

Clinch Leatherwood
Wait. Rollo/cweat/polar vortex/messenger is now Leatherface? It's a new season, out with the old in with the new. Hoping this trough thing is legit.
TauntonBlizzard2013
I am fairly confident this will not make it back to western NE if it happens. At least accums will not
CoastalWx
New GFS seems to like cstl SE MA from like Marshfield south to the Cape.

Damage In Tolland
Still potential with this. There will be some surprises with this tomorrow. Most mets on air calling for flurries..even Noyes..You guys out east look good
CarverWX
Any chance we see a couple of inches out of this? or are we just talking mood flakes.
ORH_wxman
Any chance we see a couple of inches out of this? or are we just talking mood flakes. I would say there's definitely a chance...I wouldn't put the chances at a couple inches very high, but they are not small enough to be ignored. If the atmosphere as a whole was a bit colder, I'd probably like the odds a lot more. There'd be a bit more instability and of course lesser BL issues. But it is still something to watch for sure. CoastalWx
GFS certainly likes it. Much more defined now over cstl SE MA.
JC-CT
Rgem looks like it is hitting the inverted trough hard. Scooter special?
CoastalWx
Better chance south of me perhaps, but hoping for something. I'm pretty close to BOS for reference.
CarverWX
Rgem looks like it is hitting the inverted trough hard. Scooter special? That looks good for Brockton south and east.
JC-CT
Better chance south of me perhaps, but hoping for something. I'm pretty close to BOS for reference. I thought you were more towards the north end of that heavier area of snow, my bad. You are just north of that?
CoastalWx
I thought you were more towards the north end of that heavier area of snow, my bad. You are just north of that? I am close to it, but I mean it may be more focused (like better low level conv) just south. However, the overall idea is to get more expansive and if my winds are more N while NE winds perhaps more towards Hull..then it can deliver here. I'm about 10 miles SE of downtown BOS as the crow flies.
TauntonBlizzard2013
Looks like at least mood snows here. Coast could see accums though
SouthCoastMA
wish the timing was a bit sooner since I'll be in Wareham all day Thursday/Thursday Evening. These things are fickle though so maybe I'll still see some flakes in Acushnet. One of my favorite inverted trough events was in March 2013, though this one seems to favor more eastern areas. Baroclinic Zone
If I have some time later today I will see if this potential is real for SE MA. At 1st glance it looks too warm at the surface for areas along the coast and CC but I have not really delved into the soundings. Could just be mood flakes. Clinch Leatherwood
Mets thoughts on this? I just can't bite on these things until 12-18 before but haven't even looked yet.
CoastalWx
Mets thoughts on this? I just can't bite on these things until 12-18 before but haven't even looked yet. Looks legit, but on the NE side of the inv trough..might have BL issues if it doesn't come down good.
