West orange nj can say this is the heaviest snow of the day so far flakes looking a lot healthier going to be interesting if we stay all snow here how much accumulation we get

Agreed. Solid Moderate Snow here in Whippany. Sticking to the blacktop, including the heavily traveled Route 10.

Snowing steadily for the last 45 minutes here, but with 33-34F temps, having a hard time accumulating - do have maybe 1/4" on the grass, deck, and cars, but spotty accumulation on sidewalks and very little on asphalt. About to head out to do some errands. Amazing to look at the snow rain line being almost perfectly aligned along the I-95 corridor from Philly to NYC. Would be a nice surprise to stay snow for a few hours - keep hearing about a warm nose turning things back to rain.

5" on garbage can top and almost 3" on the street now.  I was out a little while ago and all but the busiest part of US Rt 6 was covered.  Side streets are slick and so far it seems that people are taking it easy.  I would call it borderline moderate snowfall rate at the moment and the wind has all but died.

I'm near Old Bridge and its a rain/sleet mix and it should expand N&W shortly if not already expanding.

radar shows you as snow - but it is probably not accurate by you since you are right on the fence

The key now is to go for the miracle and see if we can overcome the 700mb warming and keep it snow

3 colder RAP runs at 700  in a row and looks like the 15z HRRR is a tick colder for KNYC as well .

Nope there's another radar out there that usually shows the mix lines perfectly if anyone knows what I'm talking about and has it.
