How can there be a WSW for 1-3"?. Why don't they issue a WSW and a WWA.

BC until the new zones go into effect, they have to issue a WSW for all of upper Baltimore County, as places near the PA/MD line will see warning snows, and places further south will not. Which is why it says IN THE WARNING

4-8" near the line

1-3" elsewhere.

I have just never seen a WSW for 1-3" before. But i am getting old so i guess my memory is failing me.

Again, the warning is not for the 1-3", its listed there as places within the warning polygon (due to the zone setup) are technically under a "warning" but will not see warning snows. Hence it being listed there.

Starting next month, that shouldn't happen with the new zone map.

It's for the Parkton crowd... the rest of us even a little north of the beltway wouldn't be in a warning if we didn't share the same county

Got it thanks.

Yeah but in the WWA area they say up to 2-5 for the far northern and western suburbs. Kinda a mixed signal forecast.

Didn't see that.... makes it a little inconsistent then. I'm guessing the 2-5" is for places like Damascus (the DC area's Parkton) and western Howard county.
