Another one from last evening, differently exposed.  The slightest tweaking of exposure settings can make a tremendous difference.  This particular one gave a much more rich color presentation compared to some of the others.  Photography is a never ending learning experience to be sure lol.

awesome pic Cyclone!

Nice ones too Josh!

Worked on my taxes today! owing the Guv money was frustrating but sitting at my desk, this was the view out to my front yard.  It was a beautiful day but only climbed to 4 degrees, down to -3 now.

Been some great pictures posted the last several days!

That picture you posted Bo, on the 24th of the snowy forest near twilight could easily pass for somewhere in Central Canada that's not too far south from the treeline.

Took this picture just east of Burlington, WI yesterday at sunset.

great pics Josh. weird seeing open water like that... looks so deep blue.

you cancel your annual UP trip again this year? I hear between Grand Marias and Whitefish, there's upwards of 50".

that area of water always stays primarily open because of constant ice breakers keeping it open. Ice flows depend on the current. No amount of cold would freeze it over, but the thicker the ice on Lake Erie & Lake St Clair the more icebergs will be flowing down the channel in April. And the blue was unreal today. Its more blue than the ocean (im guessing its something to do with the bright white snow ans cobalt sky...and yes ive seen the ocean lol).

Ponds and lakes are another story. People who ice fish are saying the ice has been thicker the last two winters than they can ever remember.

And yes I did cancel it again. New job for one...plus another year of deep snow to fill me up lol. I can only hope I will have to cancel again next year :lmao:

^Nice pics Josh.  Those clouds go perfect with these wintertime pics.  Had some similar clouds to that a few weeks ago in a few of my barn pics.

Here's a few shots from today up at Castle Rock State Park, and White Pines Forest State Park north of Dixon IL.  There's a good chance this will be my last contribution to this thread, as snow should start melting this week, and really don't see much down the road.

Awesome as always. One thing I will say...this winter will probably end up an A- grade from me, but it gets an A+ for photographic opportunities. I wake up this morning and i look outside an do a double take...even though its dark out, the deep snow is literally shimmering like a sequined dress. We have had some unforecast flurries overnight, just a trace, but its giving that mid-winter sparkle to the late-winter snowpack. Wont have time to take any pics lol, but its certainly pic worthy.

Yeah it's been great.  Even before the big storm in early Feb I was pretty pleased with the ops that had been presented up to that point.

Some nice aerial shots of the Chicago lakeshore taken a couple of days ago (and for Cubs fans, Wrigley renovations shots too):

Very cool.  It's weird seeing Wrigley covered in snow like that.  They need to hurry up with those renovations lol.  Looks like they have a ways to go.

May/June is the current plan for having the bleachers done. Maybe.

Another shot with guys out snow blowing the field. Love it.
