Buddy1987
Well I guess anything of note is at 45 the placement of the northern energy is significant as it has it over southeast Missouri whereas at 51 it had it in northwest portions of the state. Havent had a chance to look at the surface tho.
EasternUSWX
Nice analysis in here. It's terrible. lol. It is wetter that's for sure. IDK about temps. 12Z 18Z

PhineasC
Let's just throw it out, unless it is the snowiest model. I can't remember at this point.
Bob Chill
35-37 @ 7am. 33-34 @ 1pm. 32-34 @ 7pm. Precip is about .7 up and down 95. Less west/more east.
Bob Chill
GFS did this with the Feb storm last year. Kept moving higher precip totals further west each run. It's awful hard to go against the Euro. It's proven superior with fast moving miller A's.
T. August
35-37 @ 7am. 33-34 @ 1pm. 32-34 @ 7pm. Precip is about .7 up and down 95. Less west/more east. That sfc doesn't seem bad. Accumulation maybe after noon.
clskinsfan
I'll take .6 if its all snow. GFS is slowly coming around to the Euro's solution. The axis of heavier precip has shifted slightly west. Temps are a concern though. Even out here we dont go below freezing the entire day on the GFS. BTRWx
Para looks better fwiw, approaching 1" qpf I-95 I believe
Bob Chill
I'll bet 1:1 odds that the 0z gfs bumps west again and ups totals. I reread the Feb 12-13 threads today. 24 hours before onset and the GFS was still stuck in dry mode. RGEM/EURO/UKIE and even the NAM by that time we're about the same. I'll go with a Euro/RGEM/UKIE blend right now for sure.
mitchnick
Para looks better fwiw, approaching 1" qpf I-95 I believe does it look warmer, cooler, or the same temp-wise to regular GFS
T. August
does it look warmer, cooler, or the same temp-wise to regular GFS Sfc is warmer than reg 18z GFS. It never gets below 35F for I-95 until the very end, and even in the NW 'burbs, temps are marginal.

Yes, still only about 50-75% of Euro QPF numbers. I'm going straight Euro until I see a reason to change.
