Hey everyone back in Upstate! Miss you guys from here on the coast of New England. Congrats on the storm for you guys! We've been hit pretty hard here ourselves lately. 30" here in Westerly right on the south coast of Rhode Island in the last 7 days with more possibly coming later this week! 18" of total concrete on the ground here and even had quite a glazing of freezing rain here this morning with heavy rain and temps in the low 20s! Just an hour to my north in Worcester,MA nearly 5 feet has fallen in the last 7 days, which rivals that of some lake effect events!!! Boston had also had its snowiest 7 day period in the history of the city, somewhere near 40" (maybe just under or just over, not quite sure). Winter started out super slow here but has turned into quite the winter. Really making me feel like I'm back in Buffalo with the piles of snow all over the place here! BuffaloWeather I think you have a shot at 200" this year buddy which is totally EPIC! What's everyone around WNY have on the ground anyways? 10"? 20"? 30"??? Anyways guys, hope everyone is enjoying this amazing pattern we appear to be locked into with absolutely no end in sight! Take care everyone!!

Boston has offically seen 42.5" in the last 7 days, making it the snowiest week in the city's history!

Also Worcester,MA has offically seen 52.1" in the past 7 days (not sure if it is also a record but I would have to think it is!)

Those are some awesome stats, thanks for sharing. Snowiest week in history for the snowiest suburb of Boston on average. They are definitely in a good spot for the next few weeks. We have around 18" on ground here, its pure concrete though. It really varies throughout WNY. Most places have 15+, the highest are the usual spots in Boston/Colden 20-25". Still won't come close to my 48-52" depth at the end of the November storm though. I don't think I will ever get a higher depth than that.

We miss you Devin, it's not the same here without ya. Maybe you can convince the fiance to move back. =P

haha! I really miss the epic snow that you guys get over there. I mean maybe only 1% of the U.S. Population can probably say they have seen 200" of snow in a season. That's pretty special. And between last seasons great totals and this seasons already great and likely epic and record breaking totals by the time it's all over in a couple months, this is probably going to go down as one of the best 2 back to back winters ever for the south towns. I do absolutely love it here though in Southern New England. Just a beautiful place and the summers here are absolutely amazing. So much to do here on the south coast of RI, and love to be able to spend the day in Boston (only 1 1/3 hr drive), or NYC (2 1/2hr drive). Even took a day trip to Portland Maine a couple times (3 hours each way on 95 but quite the beautiful drive). I do admit I really miss Buffalos amazing food (it's something I really took for granted while living there) and being able to watch Bills games (gonna get the Sunday ticket next season so I can watch all the games). But at least for now Im a New Englander lol!

Yeah man. This really has been the best back to back years down here. I can imagine how there is so much more to do down there for sure. I've been to Maine and I absolutely loved it, we went whale watching in Bar Harbor Maine. We saw 10+ Finback whales, they were huge! The lobster was also incredible. As long as you don't become a Patriot fan I am fine. I could not believe that game last night...

Euro through 96 hours. There is at least another few clippers after this one as well through 150 hours.

Euro has a big Miller B after this time period, but every model agrees on a 4-8 inch storm for Thursday.

Edit: Here's the Euro map including the 9th-10th storm. Is another north trend too much to ask for?

SNE a decent place, I lived there for 16 years, lived in Misquamicut Beach in a beach house in the Navy. Great times. Though it can be an annoying snow hole most of the time. Don't forget to drop by Napatree Point in Misquamicut, scene of the infamous Hurricane of '38 carnage. There was a PBS/WGBH special on that storm about 15-20 years ago that may still he available on YouTube. Well worth watching esp since you are in Westerly, if you haven't seen it already and can find it online somewhere. If I remember and find it online, I'll post it.

wow, I'm only 3 miles from Misquamicut Beach. And thank you for your service! While it can be quite a snow hole down here compared to surrounding areas it's not terrible because if you drive an hour north to Worcester there's always double the snow than there is here. I've been to Napatree point several times, it's a great neat place, and also where I purposes to my fiancé! I do a lot of work in residential homes in the Watch Hill section of Westerly and have got to meet a couple people who actually survived the '38 hurricane and listen to some absolutely amazing stories. Hard to believe that that whole point used to be lined with houses and cottages and now it's nothing but preserved wildlife and a beach. Really enjoy the entire area and all the history involved. Love all the stone walls everywhere too! Haha

The 12z euro has a nice event from hours 120-150, but lately it's been flip flopping like crazy. There is decent model support for that time period though.

Kind of similar to last week at this time...flip flopping models on a west-to-east tracking wave. We shall see...

I'm torn...one half of me wants that (GFS snow forecast) to happen because, well, I've been a weather nut and snow lover my whole life. The other half of me dreads another big event and wonders where I'll be putting all that snow. Running out of room!

Here we go...
